The Blaster 2 is latest hollow-molded discus launch glider utilizing Dr. Drela's airfoils and planform. The hollow-molded wings are made in CNC machined molds that are the only way to exactly reproduce the new generation of airfoils.
Pod - The pod is Kevlar reinforced with a horizontal strip of carbon fiber extending back to the boom. The uni-directional carbon fiber boom is larger in diameter than other DHLs making it stiffer for the most arduous launches. A removable nose cone allows for easy access to RC components..
Wing - The airfoils used on the Blaster 2 are a result of Dr. Drelas continuing refinement of discus launch glider airfoils. The glassed balsa skin wing surface finish is of exceptional quality as a result of highly polished molds. The elliptical wing and transitioning airfoils give the wing the most efficient planform available. A molded "T" launching blade allows for comfortable launches.
Tail Group - The Blaster 2 features new hollow-molded tail surfaces to reduce drag, provide for higher launches and improve handling at low speeds. A one-gram miniature v-mount allows for the full flying stabilizer to give the pilot infinite pitch control.
Complete hardware package, teflon tubing, carbon pushrods and carbon horns included.
